Twisted Lemon

Was there for a collaborative meal between Chef Dan and Chef Johnny Blonde including wine pairings from Foreign Affair Winery. Fabulous night. Will go again and would recommend to anyone.

I had dinner here last night and was blown away. The food is fresh and packed with huge flavours. The lamb was probably the best I’ve ever had. Coming from a European background I’ve had my fair share of lamb and nothing like this. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and I’m happy I live close by.

Always an excellent menu, ambiance and amazing experience. I slalways look forward to going back for the scallops and barbeque cauliflower. My husband always praises the lamb. He swears every time he'll try something new but never does. Can't wait to return. Worth the trip.

Everything was absolutely delicious the soup was lovelyThe beet salad was absolutely fabulous I could have had just more of that and had that for my entire meal the beef tenderloin was perfect and I always like creme bro lay for dessert

Food tasted amazing, although it did take quite some time for our entrées to arrive. Service was prompt and friendly.

This was my first time here and we'll definitely be back. It's in a somewhat remote location but well worth the drive. Chef Dan's creative menu makes for difficult choices. Food presentation is appealing and our meals were all highly enjoyable.The restaurant has a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and the pride the staff takes in providing an exceptional dining experience is readily apparent.

One of the best dining experiences ever! Amazing what they can create with food! First time there but definitely wont be the last time! Each of us had something different and it was all absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. They made their own strawberry ice cream...out of this world!

Absolutely scrumptious meal! This was our first time at the Twisted Lemon and it was a delight.From the extremely attentive and professional staff to the small touches like the complementary lemon pepper twists - a great dining experience overall.We'll definitely be returning soon.

Enjoyed the duck dit dish. Duck wing and breast on top of Angel hair vermicelli mushrooms carrots and broth, could have came with French bread to sop up juice.

Great see ice here anytime we go and usually can get a nice craft beer here to go with any meal order.

Great food and great dining experience. Servers were very polite and knowledgeable. We came all the way from LA to experience this and we were not disappointed. We look forward to coming back again soon.

Good food and good service in a very nice location. Plenty of locally grown options. $$$$ but probably worth it for a special occasion.

Amazing!! We are fortunate enough to have eaten at many fine dining establishments and I believe this one may have just earned its way into first place! The food was delicious, the service fabulous and the chef phenomenal. An extra special thanks for also ensuring my meal was safe, customers who are not able to handle gluten can be tough on a restaurant but they did a great job!

My family did a Chef's Table with Chef Dan for my Dad's 60th birthday and I can safely say it was the best meal I have ever had. Truly incredible.

This place is top-notch. If you are in the mood for amazing food, service and ambiance this is the place to go. Have been multiple times and they have never disappointed. The staff is friendly and the food is unique and plated with amazing creativity.I can't recommend this place enough. Even their twisted lemon crisps are to die for

A hidden gem in Ontario. Good variety of different dishes with different textures and flavors. They have fresh daily menus where I highly suggest. There are indoor and outdoor dining. There's limited parking but there's only just enough. Waiters know what good are there. Ask their opinion. Friend staff with chef right at the kitchen.

It’s relatively easy to look past the middling decor and atmosphere and say that The Twisted Lemon lives up to its reputation. Fine dining in a more laidback and unpretentious setting, with a solidly diverse range of dishes to appease pretty much anyone’s palate and preference. The wild boar I ordered was sizeably portioned, with an impeccable medium rare cook on the meat and inventive complementary accompaniments. If you’re out Haldimand County way, you can’t do better than The Twisted Lemon.

Best fine dining in area (hamilton/ Niagara region). I believe. Have not been too recently. However have been several times and experience always similar. Great atmosphere staff is always friendly. Menu always changing with season and always focused on using quality local farm fresh produce. Always something interesting to try on the menu as well from fois gras made fresh to wild boar.if you are someone who is looking just simply to eat and not a dining experience.Or someone who would rather save a couple of dollars to get an inferior uninspired meal. Than I would not recommend this place. Otherwise it is worth the drive to Cayuga just to enjoy and experience and atmosphere of the twisted lemon... Regardless of where your starting destination is.

Very friendly service. Accommodated us without reservations even though they were fully booked. The food was good too. Would go again.

We spent our anniversary here last night and had a great experience. We couldn't decide what to eat because everything on the menu looked great. I ended up getting the beet and citrus salad with whipped goat cheese and candied walnuts, which was fantastic, and I enjoyed the buttermilk breaded chicken and cornbread waffle for my main course. My boyfriend started with a soup (which we were told they are known for), and had a lamb shank dinner with roasted carrots, mashed potatoes, and au jus, which was incredible. We wished we weren't full by the end so we could keep eating, the portions are generous here! Great service and cozy atmosphere as well.

What I can say immediately is "WOW!" - We sat at the Chef's Table and watched them cook all the meals. It was an incredible experience and each meal looked better than the last, it made it very difficult to choose what to eat. The food is all fresh and homegrown from the Chef's garden. The service was beyond extraordinary and the atmosphere was great. The food tasted absolutely unreal... so delicious and savoury. The Chef even went table to table to ask how people were enjoying their meals. The menu is very reasonably priced compared to fancy chain-restaurants and its a smaller, more personal experience. HIGHLY recommend to try this restaurant!!

I didn't eat but I was working construction do roadwork right outside. We didn't have a John to use so i went inside to use theirs. The staff there was overly generous.. They even offered me a cold drink on the way out. Have to say the experience being in there is one to make me come back this weekend for lunch. Thanks to those 2 employees for their hospitality. Not only one of the best dinners I have ever had but the desserts were some of the greatest things I have ever had. We were able to have a peanut butter ice cream that was hands down the greatest ice cream I have ever tasted by a factor of 10.

Fantastic experience. The wait staff was fun without tying to be funny and was very helpful with ordering and information. We had a table of 6 and each of us ordered something different and each dish was beautifully plated and delicious. I had the wild boar which was a beautiful medium rare and a perfect portion, clearing my plate but not wanting another bite. Chef Dan Megna came by the table to check on us and answered our many questions about the restaurant which was a great personal way to end the meal. Will definitely return and highly recommend.

Absolutely ADORE this restaurant!!!! The chef and waiters/waitresses accommodate like no other. The talent and passion clearly shines through the dishes. Each plate assembled with the most amount of care. The presentation of each plate is unparallel. I swear I could taste the passion. That being said, I will obviously continue to recommend Twisted Lemon to ALL my family and friends. Thank you Chef Dan for ensuring each and every visit is one to remember.

This place was OK. The food wasn't to my liking. The bartender was really great and the drinks he made us were excellent. The service was impeccable and the servers were all very attentive. The menu needs revising. I am not one fond of charred meat or usual flavour combos. mThe duck option in my humble opinion needs reviewing by the staff.

Superb food and service. I had been hearing nothing but good things about this place for years, and my husband and I were certainly not disappointed. We'll certainly be back.

This is where I go to remind myself why I live. The food is always fantastic, the staff are stellar and the environment feels both upscale and homey. We have always felt welcomed as friends, treated like family and fed like kings. A very special experience.

A gem in hiding.We came a across this establishment while looking for a dining alternative to our camping week on the shores of Lake Erie.This is a polished restaurant with wonderful menu supplemented by a gracious and competent staff.Delicious fare, excellent presentation and good ambience, we are looking forward to making the trek back in the near future.

Amazing food and exceptional service. This was our second time dining here and it was not a disappointment. The only reason this isn't a 5 star is because I felt the portions were a little on the small size for the price point. Otherwise it's a very interesting location, small intimate dining areas and a new patio. They even have fully stocked restrooms with everything from lotion to diapers. If you're looking for a special night out, this is a top choice to be sure but be prepared for the hit to your wallet.

Can't go wrong with the date night option on Tues/Wed evenings!

Very pleased with a recent visit to celebrate a friend's birthday. The food was absolutely delicious (the scallops were thick and amazingly well cooked). Their draft beer selection isn't large, but they have a selection of tallboy craft beers as well. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very nice and the service was amazing. Not the least expensive place, but you get what you pay for. Definitely a hidden gem on the outskirts of the GTA.

Easily the best restaurant in Southern Ontario. Off the beat and path but always worth the drive. Top notch chefs and amazingly creative foods thats change often to keep things fresh.

My wife and I stopped here after driving through town to the race track. First we both said that place looks great, let’s check it out on our way back. We are glad we did! The service was great and the food was spectacular! Very quaint place. We will be back :)

I just luv the vibe of this place...oh yes and the food is AAAAMAZING!

I had a small birthday celebration here with some experienced Twisted Lemoners, and my husband and I had never been. The atmosphere was amazing, our server excellent, and the food and drinks top notch. I had the wild boar and it was delicious, I tried my husband's lasagna and it was so amazing. For dessert I had my favourite Creme Brulee and it was the best I have ever tasted. Was looking forward to seeing Chef Dan in action, but he was out for an event. That only means one thing, we will have to visit again.

My wife wanted to give the blind tasting a try. We were a little nervous because obviously we had no idea what we were going to have. Our first dish was steak tartare which neither of us ever dreamed of eating before. We trusted our chef and were both pleasantly surprised with how it tasted. The rest of the night was a relaxing experience. Highly recommended.
